The Kingsway Academy Kindergarten Experience begins in K3, followed by K4 and ends in K5. Our kindergarten program is more than one of games and activities (although there is a good bit of that too).It is truly the first step on the road to academic acumen and future success. Our loving and well-trained teachers offer an environment where students learn to read, write, count and express themselves in a confident manner. 

Our Biblically based program provides the groundwork for studies in Phonics, Language Development, Numbers, Sciences and Art. Students participate in Computer Studies, Spanish, Library Studies, Music and Physical Education classes.

Our curriculum is complemented by special days such as, China Day (complete with food and dance); and England Day (complete with high tea, top hats and gloves)as well as the study of Kenya, Mexico and around the Bahamas. Students enjoy two field trips, to places like Atlantis Discovery Camp, Adventure Learning Center or Ardastra Gardens to name a few. Community Helpers also visit the campus and provide hands-on experiences for the children. 

Parents visit the classrooms on a weekly basis and spend time reading, demonstrating a dance, or teaching crafts to the entire class.The teacher and parent partnership is key to the student's development and success. A sound education, comprised of directed instruction, self-discovery, seat work and practice, social interaction and group work, homework and oral presentation is our mandate. Students who satisfactorily complete the kindergarten program, participate in a K5 Promotion Ceremony in June, and move on to grade one.
